2017 ATAINZ Open Polytechnic Prize Winners
Each year ATAINZ awards a Scholarship to the top Students at the Open Polytechnic. ATAINZ congratulates and is pleased to advise that the recipients for 2017 are:
Benjamin Naldrett-Jays was top Bachelor of Business 71306 Tax Student.
Born and raised in Lower Hutt Benjamin completed his initial studies at Victoria University. Benjamin has been practicing as an Accountant for the last 8 years and has recently enrolled at the Open Polytechnic to further his studies with the ultimate goal being to gain membership of a professional body.
Taxation is a particular area of interest for Benjamin and he was delighted to accept our Atainz award.
Krystal Armstrong was top NZ Diploma in Business Taxation Student.
Krystal joined Leech & Partners at their Christchurch Office in August 2011 after returning from Western Australia where she had been living for 14 months. Krystal is Christchurch born and bred and worked as a teller for Westpac Bank before her travels to Australia.
On her return, Krystal originally took up the role as receptionist before moving into the accounting team in May 2013 to further her career in accounting.
Whilst working fulltime, Krystal is also studying towards a Diploma in Business through the Open Polytechnic.
Krystal lives with her husband Brett in West Melton and loves spending time with friends and family. In her spare time you can find her on the sports field, shopping up a storm or with her head in the books.
